Enrollment is now open for pre-K for the 2019-2020 school year! The program is designed for children ages 3-5 on the autism spectrum. The program uses the Early Start Denver Model curriculum. Avondale House has been serving students with autism spectrum disorder for over 40 years and has state of the art classrooms with a low student-to-teacher ratio. Approved by the Texas Education Agency, the day school at Avondale House is a year-round program for children with autism ages 5-21. With certified teachers, licensed specialists, well-trained paraprofessionals, a low teacher-to-student ratio, and state-of-the-art classrooms, our educational program is tailored to meet the specific individual needs of each student.

The day school serves over 75 students from more than 20 different school districts. Each student receives education and training according to the child’s individualized education and behavior improvement plans. Classes include weekly art and music lessons, community-based instructional outings, and daily recreation.
