Centers of Disease Control and Prevention Autism Information Center The lead federal agency for protecting the health and safety of people. The CDC compiles statistical information to guide actions and policies to improve the health of the nation. This site provides comprehensive information on autism spectrum disorders for families, healthcare providers, educators, the media, and policy makers.
Autism Speaks Autism Speaks has grown into the nation’s largest autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a cure for autism; increasing awareness of autism spectrum disorders; and advocating for the needs of individuals with autism and their families.
Special Schools Coalition of Greater Houston The Special Schools Coalition is a network of special educators with non-profit schools in greater Houston dedicated to collaboration, resource sharing and increased community awareness and support.
Texas Autism Research & Resource Center The Center’s primary purpose is to coordinate resources for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families. The website includes comprehensive information on the programs in Texas that provide essential services to people affected with ASD. The Center is a project of the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS), a state agency with its main office located in Austin, Texas.
