The Community Education and Outreach (CEO) department demonstrates Avondale House’s belief that autism is a community affair and our commitment to creating “autism friendly” communities. Specifically, this program is designed to meet the educational, support, and training needs of parents, families, educators, community members, and health and social service professionals responding to the unique demands of individuals with autism.




 

Families:

  2. Monthly parent support group meetings

Educators and Other Professionals:

  1. Events (conferences, resource/charity fairs, forums)
  2. Staff development trainings (CEU's available)
  3. Printed literature
  4. Speaker’s bureau

Community:

  1. Informal trainings for religious and civic organizations
  2. Media outreach
