Avondale House is a 501(c)(3) not for profit agency that provides education services, a day habilitation program and residential services for individuals diagnosed on the autism spectrum. Founded in 1976 by parents of children with autism, the program was originally located on Avondale Street.

Today, the organization is housed in a state-of-the-art, spacious 33,000 square foot facility specifically designed to address the unique sensory, educational, and developmental needs of those we serve.  We provide an array of autism-specific services to individuals pre-k and older, regardless of where they fall on the autism spectrum.  The agency offers five core programs, which include support services for families of individuals with autism.

Avondale House recognizes that each individual with autism has unique strengths and unique needs and utilizes various training strategies to support their different learning styles. By taking this approach and by remaining open and receptive to the new and the old, Avondale House programs are effective in promoting positive changes in those we serve.
